Season-Opening Football Game, Sand Rock at Spring Garden for Thursday, August 18

CHEROKEE COUNTY SCHOOL SPORTS– Week 0 high school football opener between Spring Garden and Sand Rock is on Thursday, August 18 at Spring Garden.

The kickoff will be at 7 pm, our readers can catch the game on Cherokee County's local radio station WEIS AM 990/ 100.5 FM.

Spring Garden Panthers are ranked No. 2 in Class 1A. The Panthers went 12-1 in Class 2A last season under the guidance of coach Jason Howard.

Sand Rock a Class 2A is coming off a 7-4 season. The Wildcats are under the guidance of third-year coach Alan Heath.

Last Season the Spring Garden Panthers won against Sand Rock in an exciting 29-28 game.
