MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. — A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting Sunday morning in Marshall County, prompting an independent investigation by state authorities.

According to officials with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched alongside Guntersville Police to a domestic-related call on Meadowbrook Drive, near the Blount County line along Highway 79 South.
