Gadsden State Health Sciences Division Holds Pinning Ceremony for LPNs

Centre, Ala. — The Gadsden State Community College Health Sciences Division recognized students earning their Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) certificates during a pinning ceremony held on Dec. 15, celebrating the accomplishments of the Fall 2025 graduating class.
Family members, faculty, and community supporters gathered to honor graduates who completed the rigorous nursing program and are now prepared to enter the healthcare workforce and serve communities across the region.

The Fall 2025 LPN graduates include:
Anniston: Imani Afford, Cartrica Foster, Felix Waldrop, Selena Whitman
Ashville: Alexis Daily
Attalla: Madison Kelley
Boaz: Breanna Jacobs
Centre: Hannah Harper
Cropwell: Marissa Ritten
Gadsden: Tyler Mostiller, Taylor Witt
Heflin: Riona Jordan, Casey Lail
Leesburg: Anna Smith
Lincoln: Ciara Spencer
Millerville: Lakerra Barclay
Oxford: Jessica Stringer
Pell City: Katelyn Muncher
Piedmont: Kaydence Harrison
Rainbow City: Monique Curry
Southside: Emily Howell
Several students were recognized for outstanding achievement during the ceremony.
Kaydence Harrison, of Piedmont, received the prestigious Florence Nightingale Award, honoring students who demonstrate exceptional compassion, dedication, and commitment to patient-centered nursing care.
The Excellence in Academic Achievement Award was presented to Breanna Jacobs, who earned the highest grade point average in the graduating class.
Students receiving the Academic Achievement Award for maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher included Monique Curry, Kaydence Harrison, Emily Howell, Madison Kelley, Katelyn Muncher, and Taylor Witt.

In addition, five graduates were recognized for completing the Registered Nursing Apprenticeship Program, which allows nursing students to gain hands-on, on-the-job experience while completing their education. Those graduates include Monique Curry, Alexis Daily, Hannah Harper, Tyler Mostiller, and Selena Whitman.

The Weekly Ledger News would also like to extend a special recognition to Anna Smith, a former photographer with the TWLN publication, as she celebrates this academic achievement.
Gadsden State Community College continues to play a vital role in preparing skilled healthcare professionals who serve hospitals, clinics, and communities throughout the region.
