GLENDALE, Ariz. — Funeral services have been set for Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, who was assassinated Wednesday at a public speaking event in Utah. He was 31.

The memorial service will take place on Sunday, September 21, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals and located in Kirk’s home state of Arizona. Doors will open at 8 a.m. PT, with the program scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. PT, according to Turning Point USA.

Turning Point USA, which Kirk co-founded, announced the details of the service on Saturday on the @TPUSA X.com account.

The ceremony, titled “Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are asked to register online in advance. State Farm Stadium holds a capacity of 63,400 and can be expanded to nearly 73,000 for major events.

“Charlie died doing what he loved: fighting for truth, for faith, for family, and for America,” Turning Point USA said in a statement. “His sacrifice will endure as a guiding light for generations. Though our hearts are heavy, we do not grieve as those without hope.”

Kirk’s casket was flown back to Arizona on Thursday aboard Air Force Two, with Vice President JD Vance present as uniformed service members escorted it onto the plane.

Authorities have charged Tyler Robinson, 22, of Utah, in connection with the assassination. Robinson was arrested on Friday and faces counts of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and obstruction of justice.

On Friday, Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, delivered a powerful address that has quickly been embraced as her personal battle cry. Standing resolute just two days after her husband’s death, she declared: “My husband’s mission will not end.” Her words, marked by grief yet steeled with determination, set the tone for what many supporters view as a continuation of Kirk’s fight for faith, family, and America.
