CENTRE, Ala. — Families across the community are invited to come together this Saturday for a day full of fun, connection, and valuable resources as three exciting events take place in Centre.
The FREE Family Resource Festival will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Richard Lindsey Arena on the Gadsden State Cherokee Campus. Hosted by the Children’s Policy Council, the festival is designed to connect local families with helpful services while providing an enjoyable experience for all ages.
Attendees can look forward to inflatables and games, free food, and free haircuts, along with opportunities to learn more about community programs that support families throughout Cherokee County.
A special highlight of the morning will be a group of talented young dancers performing at 9:30 a.m., adding even more excitement to an already fun-filled event.
Families are also encouraged to make a full day of it by attending two additional community events happening throughout Centre.
Art in the Park, brought to you by the City of Centre, will take place at Centre City Park from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature local vendors, art displays, and a chance for the community to enjoy creativity, food, and family-friendly fun in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Just across the way, Bark in the Park, hosted by Summit’s Sanctuary and First Baptist Centre, will be held at J.W. Hampton Field (across from Centre City Park) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This pet-friendly event will include a variety of activities such as a wag-n-tag, activity zone, doggie costume contest, silent auction, bark art, and fun games like Pooch Poo Plinko, along with opportunities to win prizes and support a great cause.
With multiple events planned throughout the day, Saturday is shaping up to be a big day for Cherokee County—offering something for everyone while strengthening community connections.
Bring the whole family and be part of a fun-filled day!
