Single-Vehicle Rollover Accident on Thursday in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Ala. - On Thursday, December 29 at 10:56 am Leesburg Fire Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover in Leesburg, along with Cherokee County Rescue Services, Atrium Floyd EMS, and Leesburg Police.

Once first responders arrived on the scene of the accident on Holman Street, they found the female driver entrapped in a truck that was upside down in a ditch. First responders quickly reacted and were able to remove the driver through the rear window after stabilizing the vehicle.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
