CENTRE, Ala. — The Cherokee County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Board Meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Cherokee County Schools Central Office, located at 200 Armory Road in Centre.
According to the posted agenda, board members are expected to discuss and take action on several items, including approval of the May 11, 2026 meeting minutes, travel requests, the energy savings budget, and personnel actions. The board will also review current job postings within the school system.
The meeting will begin with a call to order, welcome, public comments, roll call to establish a quorum, and verification of proper board meeting notification procedures before moving into agenda approval and business items.
The meeting is open to the public.
