DeKalb County Health Department Releases Latest Food and Lodging Inspection Scores for August 29 through September 3

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. — The DeKalb County Health Department has released its most recent round of food and lodging inspection scores for the period of Aug. 29 through Sept. 3, 2025.


Health inspections are scored on a 100-point scale and reflect compliance with state food safety and sanitation standards. Establishments scoring below 85 are considered in need of significant improvement. Critical violations are noted when conditions pose an immediate risk to food safety.

Wildflower Cafe


  • Address: 6007 Alabama Hwy. 117, Mentone

  • Date Inspected: Aug. 29, 2025

  • Score: 77

  • Critical Violations:


    • Toxic chemicals stored near food and clean dishes.

    • Cut tomatoes at 44°F and olives at 48°F (improper holding temperatures).

    • Multiple food items held past date-marking limits, including sauces and pasta.
