SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH REPORTED THURSDAY MORNING ON COUNTY ROAD 22 NEAR CENTRE

CENTRE, Ala. — A single-vehicle crash was reported Thursday morning on County Road 22, approximately two miles east of Centre, resulting in injuries to the driver.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. when a female driver lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle subsequently left the roadway and overturned in a nearby yard.

Emergency responders arrived on scene and provided medical assistance. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local Atrium Health Floyd medical facility for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been released at this time.

Multiple agencies responded to the incident, including the Centre Police Department, Centre Fire Department, and Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency.

Motorists in the area experienced temporary disruptions while emergency crews worked the scene.
