Centre Fire Department Responds to Trucks/Camper Fire on County Road 63, Saturday, July 23


Centre Fire Department, Station No. 1, Centre, AL.


CENTRE, AL - According to information from the Centre Fire Department, overnight Saturday CFD responded to a report of an 18-wheeler being on fire on County Road 63.


Upon Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies' arrival, it was found to be two trucks on fire.


Centre Fire Department then requested mutual aid from Cedar Bluff Fire Department for assistance with the water supply.


Both vehicles were already heavily involved with fire upon engine 9 arrival and were deemed a complete loss. A camper was also damaged by the fire.


There were no injuries, and the fire scene was reportedly turned over to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.
