Wellington Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — A single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a Wellington man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.


The crash occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on January 13 along Alabama 204 near Lloyds Road, about five miles east of Jacksonville in Calhoun County.


State Troopers said 32-year-old Sujit Ganguly was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette when the vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. Ganguly was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
