LEESBURG, Ala. - According to reports a little after 4 p.m. Monday, February 19, first responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with a rollover on Highway 68 between Sand Rock and Leesburg.
The accident left at least five injured and two of the injured were airlifted to trauma centers. The other three injured were transported to trauma centers in Rome, Georgia by ground ambulance.
Leesburg Fire, Sand Rock Fire, EMA, Leesburg Police, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, Atrium Floyd EMS, and an Alabama State Trooper were all on the scene.
