CENTRE, Ala. — Carlton “Bubba” Teague has officially announced his bid for re-election to the Cherokee County Commission, District 4, confirming he has qualified with the Alabama Republican Party ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
Teague, who brings 16 years of experience in public service, said his decision to seek another term is rooted in a continued commitment to responsible leadership and community-focused governance. In a written statement, Teague emphasized his record of prioritizing residents while safeguarding taxpayer dollars, strengthening county infrastructure, supporting economic development, and maintaining transparency within county government.
“Leadership should be guided by both experience and vision,” Teague stated, noting that his goal is to help build a future that benefits not only today’s residents, but generations to come.
Throughout his tenure, Teague said he has worked to ensure that Cherokee County remains a strong and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family. He added that District 4 deserves representation rooted in integrity, open communication, and collaboration when addressing challenges facing the county.
Teague said he is running to continue that work and asked voters in District 4 for their continued support and trust as the campaign season moves forward.
