According to officials, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office personnel, along with assisting local agencies, located the suspect vehicle earlier on Cedar Bluff Road. A pursuit ensued, ending when the vehicle crashed on W. Main Street. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading south from the crash site.

Authorities say the suspects are described as three Black males and remain at large at this time.

Residents in and around the affected area are strongly urged to:

  • Remain inside their homes

  • Lock all doors and windows

  • Call 911 immediately if they observe any suspicious persons or activity

There is currently no indication of a broader threat to the public beyond the immediate search area; however, law enforcement advises the community to exercise caution and avoid the vicinity while the search is ongoing.
