Attalla Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Missing Teen

ATTALLA, Ala. — The Attalla Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been reported missing as a runaway juvenile.

According to police, Emmaliyah Grace Matchen, 15, was last seen at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in the Walker Drive area within the Attalla city limits.

Emmaliyah is described as approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with brown hair.

Authorities said it is currently unknown what clothing she was wearing at the time she was last seen.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Emmaliyah, or anyone who has information concerning her current whereabouts, to contact authorities immediately.

Information may be reported to the Attalla Police Department Dispatch at 256-538-7837 or to Attalla Police Detectives at 256-455-3698.

Community members are also encouraged to share the information in an effort to help locate Emmaliyah and ensure her safe return.

Anyone with information is urged not to delay in contacting law enforcement.
