Two Vehicle Crash, Claims the Life of a Gadsden Man

COLLINSVILLE — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, has claimed the life of a Gadsden man.


Michael S. Bourgeois, 36, was fatally injured when the 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle that he was operating collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. Bourgeois was pronounced deceased at the scene.


The driver of the Chevrolet, Celena Roman, 20, of Collinsville, was transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center for treatment.


The crash occurred on Dekalb County 51 near Dekalb County 212, approximately three miles north of Collinsville, in Dekalb County.


Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
