Birmingham, Ala. - Look for it to become wetter around the mid-week with an early September cool down.
Temperatures will trend down this week with more clouds and showers scattered across the state around Wednesday. A cold front is set to bring a push of dry air this weekend that will translate to an early fall feel.
Some people consider September 1 as the beginning of fall, though the season change doesn't officially happen until September 22, with the autumnal equinox. By late September, average high temperatures will drop to the mid-80s, with morning lows in the 60s.
If you've been dreaming of cool fall weather, this week will bring something of that nature.
