CENTRE - Thursday, October 27 was a gorgeous morning to celebrate the new ownership and name change of Cherokee Pines Golf Club.

Scott and Valerie Farrar recently purchased the property from the Board of Directors and Member-Owners of the formerly Cherokee County Country Club. The facility was built and began operations in 1969. In 2018 the Country Club fell on hard times and closed for a short time while the Board of Directors and Members decided how to proceed forward with a large debt and not enough income to pay operations expenses. They worked out a plan and continued operations until the sale.

The Cherokee County Pines Golf Club is currently open for business and located at 270 County Road 382, Centre. Can reach the Cherokee County Pines Golf Club by phone at 256-927-5070, by email at proshop@cherokeepinesgolf.com, or can check them out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cherokeepinesgolfclub.
