SPRING GARDEN, Ala. (TWLN) — Per press release from the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office Facebook page, our community is grieving after the tragic accident at Indian Mountain ATV Park today. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones and with those who were injured.
The Coroner’s Office responded to this mass casualty incident where one person was initially deceased and eight others were injured. Of those injured, four were airlifted and four transported by ambulance. Sadly, one of the individuals who was airlifted to the hospital has since passed away.
We want to sincerely thank Spring Garden Fire, Floyd EMS, Piedmont Rescue, Cherokee County EMA, 911 dispatchers, and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department for their quick and dedicated response in this difficult situation.
