A Madison County man remains in the county jail after his arrest last week on charges of animal cruelty.

Cameron Berretta Toney, 26, is being held on charges of aggravated animal cruelty. His bond is set at $10,000.
According to court documents, Toney was arrested on March 17 after Triana police said Toney shot a seven-week-old chihuahua dog nine times.
Toney got into an argument at a residence near the intersection of Zierdt Road and Sixth Street. He then shot the dog nine times.
