Overturned 18-Wheeler Loaded with Frozen Chicken; Wrecker Didn't Make it to The Scene

DEKALB COUNTY- An 18-wheeler loaded with frozen chicken overturned early Saturday on Highway 68 west of Collinsville.


The first wrecker service to be dispatched to the scene was Scrapper’s Towing of Fort Payne, while en route the large wrecker reportedly driven by Randy Bobo of Fort Payne had an accident on Highway 11 near the 216-mile marker - the wrecker ran off the road.



The driver was reportedly injured and had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment.


Twenty-Four Seven Towing & Recovery out of Fort Payne was then dispatched out to the original accident and arrived on the scene safely.


The roadway was closed for more than 12 hours and had to return Sunday to finish clearing the accident scene.


It was reported there were no injuries sustained in the overturned 18-wheeler loaded with the frozen chicken crash. (WEIS)
