One Arrest in Etowah County for Trafficking Drugs

(Etowah County, Alabama) One individual has been arrested with drug charges in Etowah County, according to Sheriff Jonathan Horton.


Joshua Lajuan Williams (33) of Gadsden is charged with three counts of Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine)


On July 21, 2022, The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Joshua Lajuan Williams after a several-month investigation into Mr. Williams distributing Methamphetamine onto the streets of Etowah County. The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit recovered over a ½ pound of Methamphetamine from Mr. Williams during the course of the investigation. Mr. Williams was out on bond at the time of arrest for Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine) and other drug-related offenses.



Joshua Lajuan Williams was arrested and is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $200,000.00 cash bond.


The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit, Gadsden Police Department, Etowah County Sheriff's Office, and the FBI North Alabama Criminal Enterprise Task Force participated in the case.
