ODENVILLE, Ala. — A former Odenville Middle School employee has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday.

Investigators say Tyler Patrick Easter, 22, of Odenville, was taken into custody after authorities received a complaint filed with school administrators regarding his conduct as an instructional aide. The school’s Resource Officer was immediately notified, prompting an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division.

The investigation resulted in Easter being charged with solicitation of a sex act with a student under the age of 19. He was booked into the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City on a $6,000 bond.

Sheriff Billy J. Murray confirmed that Easter is no longer employed at Odenville Middle School.

“The safety and wellbeing of our students remain our top priority,” Murray stated, adding that the case remains under active investigation.

Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
