Leesburg Prepares for Gospel Concert and 38th Annual Leesburg Day

Two community events will bring music, family activities, vendors and classic vehicles to Leesburg this week

LEESBURG, Ala. — The community is preparing for two special events in Leesburg this week, beginning with the town’s annual gospel concert Thursday evening and continuing with the 38th Annual Leesburg Day on Saturday.
Both events will be held at 1900 Lokey Street in Leesburg, with free admission and free parking available to the public.
The festivities will begin Thursday, September 10, with New Ground in concert at 6:30 p.m. Community members are encouraged to bring their favorite lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of gospel music.
The celebration will continue Saturday, September 12, when the 38th Annual Leesburg Day returns from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The long-running community tradition will feature activities and entertainment for visitors of all ages, including inflatables, a petting zoo, train rides, face painting and appearances by Sam the Balloon Man.
Food and craft vendors will also be on-site throughout the day. Music will be provided by Jonathan Alverson with Savannah J & Friends.
Those interested in vintage vehicles and equipment will have an opportunity to enjoy an antique car show and a display of antique tractors.
Photographs from previous Leesburg Day celebrations show families and friends gathering among colorful vendor tents, visiting the petting zoo, riding the event train and viewing rows of carefully preserved classic cars. This year’s celebration will provide another opportunity for the community to come together and make new memories.

Annual Gospel Concert: Thursday, September 10, at 6:30 p.m.
38th Annual Leesburg Day: Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
