Hokes Bluff Man Arrested for Burglary and Theft

A Hokes Bluff man was arrested on 7/4/2022 for Burglary and Theft of Property, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.


Nathan Steve Anderson, 40, of Hokes Bluff, is charged with Burglary in the third degree and Theft of Property in the first degree which is both felonies, Investigator Will Farley said.

Sheriff's Deputies took a theft report for a stolen vehicle on July 3, 2022. Sheriff Investigators were following up on leads and found that Nathan Anderson was a person of interest in the stolen vehicle

Anderson admitted to stealing a vehicle from a residence on Tomcat Road. Anderson is suspected of using the vehicle in a burglary and theft that occurred at the corner of Tomcat Road and US Highway 278 East at a convenience store that is no longer in business. Anderson is also a suspect in a burglary that took place at a convenience store in Calhoun County on the same night.

Anderson was picked up at his residence and charged with burglary and theft for the events that took place in Etowah County. A large amount of suspected stolen property from Calhoun County and the stolen vehicle from Tomcat Road were recovered at Anderson's residence.


Anderson is being held at the Etowah County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
