HOKES BLUFF- Hokes Bluff City Fest is proud to announce the headliner for this years City Fest will be Lorrie Morgan.
Lorrie Morgan is one of the most eloquently emotive country vocalists of modern times.
She is the first woman in her genre to begin her career with three consecutive Platinum albums, re-emerges on Shanachie Entertainment with Letting Go….Slow. It is a collection that showcases a rainbow of emotions, from darkest heartache to bright, shiny humor.
Morgan has long been the envy of her peers for her lustrous vocal phrasing and the down-to-earth believability of her torchy performances.
Joining the festival will be Gadsden, Alabama's own Albert Simpson.
His Southern funky folk sound and his rich Alabama accented voice are only the surface of the complex, honest and revealing songwriting that lies beneath.
Nashville's Congaree Bluff high-energy acoustic duo will be performing.
Alabama-based Tommy Shields will also be performing. Shields has a heritage deep rooted in folk and country.
Along with Hokes Bluffs very own Foggy Hollow bluegrass/ country band.
Hokes Bluff City Fest is a FREE event featuring live entertainment, Lion's Club breakfast, kid's ride and activities, local and area businesses, vendors, Hot Rod Happenin Cruise-in, and more.
The festival will be at the Hokes Bluff City Park, 3301 Alford Bend Rd. in Hokes Bluff on Saturday, September 24 festivities will start at 7 am.
