A Georgia man drowned at Desoto State Park over the weekend. DeSoto State Park is located on Lookout Mountain in DeKalb County, approximately 8 miles northeast of Fort Payne.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Weldon said, a 31-year-old male from LaGrange, Georgia lost his life on Saturday around 1 pm.
DeKalb County Coroner Tim Wilson said the man has been positively identified as Riley Dean Pearce.
Pearce's body had to be retrieved by helicopter on Saturday.
This makes the second drowning at the state park this year.
