UPDATED: Georgia Man Charged with 20 Counts of Child Sexual Abuse in Cherokee County was Released into Another Facility Custody

*UPDATED* CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. — Brock E. Abercrombie, 39 of Rising Fawn, Georgia was released Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 5:05 am from the Cherokee County Detention Center in Centre, Alabama after serving two years and nine months in the detention center for 20 counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age into another facilities custody, said Chief Deputy Josh Summerford.


Back in May of 2021, Abercrombie was taken into custody in Dade County, Georgia, and extradited to Cherokee County on the charges.
