Fort Payne Woman Arrested in Rome for Identity Fraud, First-Degree Forgery



(Coosa Valley News) ROME, GA- Dana Michelle Tidwell, 50 of Fort Payne, was arrested in Rome, GA this week after reports said she signed her daughter’s name to a ticket as her own during a traffic stop back in December of 2019.


Per reports authorities later found out Tidwell had lied about her identity in an effort to avoid arrest because she was a wanted fugitive.


Tidwell is charged with first-degree forgery, identity fraud, giving false information to police, and safety belts violation.
