BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A 20-year-old Fort Payne man and a 17-year-old juvenile have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Birmingham McDonald’s that left one man dead and another injured.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, Ernesto Gama Pablo, 20, of Fort Payne, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody Tuesday, October 6, in Decatur following an investigation into the September 28 shooting at the McDonald’s on Bessemer Road in Birmingham’s Five Points West area.
The shooting claimed the life of Isaiah Hosanna and left another man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, members of the Birmingham Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, assisted by the Decatur Police Department, located and arrested both suspects in Decatur.

Pablo faces charges of capital murder, attempted murder, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
The 17-year-old suspect, whose identity has not been released, was transported to the Birmingham City Jail and placed on a 48-hour felony extension, according to authorities.
Police have not publicly identified the second shooting victim.

The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation into the deadly shooting. The charges are allegations, and both suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
