Firefighters Responded to a Structure Fire on County Road 7

Emergency personnel responded to reports of a structure fire on County Road 7 in Leesburg Sunday afternoon around 3:25 pm.


Once firefighters arrived on the scene, located on County Road 7, they found a fire in a vacant mobile home with heavy fire damage to the living area of the structure, along with smoke damage throughout.


Multiple fire departments from around the county, Leesburg, Centre, along with Sand Rock Fire Department, assited in extinguishing the fire. With emergency personnel from Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Centre Police Department helping assisted in traffic control.


The cause of the fire is under investigation.
