Fire at Storage Units on Hwy. 9 in Cedar Bluff

CEDAR BLUFF- Emergency crews were called to the scene of a structure fire at a location at 3797 Alabama Highway 9, around 1:10 pm Monday.

It happened at Cedar Bluff Moving and Storage at 3797 Alabama Highway 9 in Cedar Bluff across the road from Piggly Wiggly. There were reports, that the home next to the storage facility had started to smoke due to the heat from the fire.

Cedar Bluff Police, Floyd EMS, and fire units from Cedar Bluff, Centre, Gaylesville, and Spring Creek Fire Departments arrived on the scene. Fire personnel was able to quickly bring the fire under control.

It’s unclear what led to the fire at Cedar Bluff Moving and Storage. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. Officials said there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
