LEESBURG, Ala. — Families across Cherokee County are invited to come together for a fun-filled afternoon of fellowship, laughter, and Easter celebration as Weiss Lake Church hosts a Community Egg Hunt this spring.

The free event is set to take place on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Leesburg Town Park, offering local children an exciting opportunity to enjoy one of the season’s most beloved traditions.

Designed for children ages 1 through 12, the event will feature a classic Easter egg hunt, giving kids the chance to search, explore, and celebrate in a safe and welcoming environment. Organizers encourage families to bring their own baskets to collect eggs during the hunt.

Beyond the excitement of the egg hunt, the event reflects the spirit of community and togetherness that defines the Easter season. With its family-friendly atmosphere and open invitation to all, organizers hope to create lasting memories for children and parents alike.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come out, connect with one another, and celebrate the joy of the season,” organizers shared.

The event is completely free to attend, making it accessible for families throughout the area.

Residents of Leesburg and surrounding communities are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the celebration.
