Cherokee County Sheriff's Department Share What They are Thankful for this Holiday Season

CENTRE, AL - The office of Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver and the office of Chief Deputy Josh Summerford share what they are thankful for, as we approach another holiday season.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver shared, “I am most thankful for my family and friends. I'm also very thankful for the opportunity to serve my county each and every day as your Sheriff. I hope you'll take the time this month to tell a first responder how thankful you are for their service."

He also added, "The kindest words you can say to someone are ‘Thank you!’”

Chief Deputy Josh Summerfor shared, “I am thankful for my wife, Summer, and our children.  I am also thankful for our deputies, the correction officers, and other staff members who work hard every day to make Cherokee County a better place.

One of the greatest honors for me – is to serve Cherokee County, the committed men and women of the Sheriff’s Office – and also, Sheriff Jeff Shaver – as Chief Deputy.

I am blessed beyond measure.”
