Boaz Man Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Abuse Charges

BOAZ, Ala. — A Boaz man is behind bars without bond after being arrested on multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12.


According to the Boaz Police Department, investigators launched an inquiry on Monday, September 15, following allegations of child sexual abuse. After a two-day investigation, authorities obtained a felony warrant for Marc Thomas Adrien Lavoie on Wednesday, September 17.

Lavoie now faces a total of eight felony charges, including:


  • Two counts of first-degree rape

  • Two counts of first-degree sodomy

  • Two counts of incest

  • Two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12



He was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail, where he remains held without bond.


Boaz Police credited the collaborative efforts of the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Marshall County, and Marshall County DHR for their support throughout the investigation.


Authorities have not released additional details regarding the victims, citing the sensitive nature of the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
