Albertville Teen Charged in Crash that Claimed the Life of Two Passengers, Ages 13 and 15

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. – On Thursday, November 21, Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division arrested and charged Yeismin Ramirez, 18, of Albertville, with Vehicular Manslaughter and two counts of First-Degree Assault.


Ramirez was driving the 2015 Nissan Altima that crashed on Wednesday, November 20, resulting in the death of a 13-year-old juvenile Tamy Carmelo and a 15-year-old juvenile Jovana Morales.

The 15-year-old juvenile passenger succumbed to her injuries sustained during the traffic crash and was pronounced deceased on Thursday, November 21, while at a local hospital.


Ramirez was booked into the Marshall County Jail with a bond of $250,000.
