Five Year Old Hit by Car, Killed in Gadsden

(AL.COM) GADSDEN, AL- A young boy was fatally struck by a vehicle in Gadsden.

Police said the fatal crash happened at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of Madison Avenue.

The 5-year-old boy was taken to the hospital, where he died, said Gadsden police Sgt. Marcus Hill. He did not disclose any of the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Etowah County Coroner’s Office did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday.
