Vehicle Ends Up in the Lake at Leesburg Landing

LEESBURG - Around 3:15 pm Sunday afternoon, 911 Central Dispatch received a call that a vehicle had run into the lake at Leesburg Landing. Emergency personnel was dispatched to the scene. Appeared that the driver of the vehicle an SUV failed to turn before driving off the launching ramp at the landing and the SUV ended up in the channel.

The driver managed to safely get out of the vehicle, and he was transported by Atrium Floyd EMS to Atrium Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
