Town of Sand Rock to Host America 250 Celebration and Back-to-School Bash Aug. 12

SAND ROCK, Ala. — The Town of Sand Rock is inviting the community to come together for an evening of music, food, fellowship, and family fun during its America 250 Celebration and Back-to-School Bash on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

The celebration will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sand Rock Town Hall, where residents and visitors can enjoy live entertainment, children’s activities, and community fellowship as they celebrate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary and the start of a new school year.

Providing the evening’s entertainment will be the local country band Stranded, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live music.

Several local organizations will be serving refreshments throughout the event. The Sand Rock Fire Department will be selling hot dogs, Sand Rock Cross Country will offer snow cones, and Round Mountain Masonic Lodge will have drinks available for purchase.

Children will also have the opportunity to enjoy two free inflatable attractions, making the event fun for the entire family.

Adding to the patriotic atmosphere, several local churches are expected to have children perform patriotic songs during the celebration.

Town officials encourage everyone in the community to attend and help make the event a success.

“This is a great opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together as we celebrate our nation, support our local organizations, and kick off another school year,” organizers said.

The public is invited to attend, and everyone is encouraged to share the event and help spread the word throughout the community.
