Three Arrested Following Narcotics Investigation in Mt. Weisner Community

CENTRE, Ala. — Three Centre residents were arrested Tuesday following the execution of a search warrant as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation in the Mt. Weisner community, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver said investigators, patrol deputies, and members of the Cherokee County Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at a residence on County Road 71. The warrant was obtained during an ongoing investigation into suspected illegal narcotics activity.
As a result of the search, authorities arrested Jakobi McNeal, 36, Brodee Deaton, 20, and Sandy McNeal, 45, all of Centre. Each is facing multiple drug-related charges.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Jakobi McNeal has been charged with:
Unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree
Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Chemical endangerment of a child
Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Brodee Deaton has been charged with:
Two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Chemical endangerment of a child
Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree
Sandy McNeal has been charged with:
Two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree
Two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Promoting prison contraband, second degree
Unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree
Following their arrests, all three individuals were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where they remain in custody pending further court proceedings.
