As The Weekly Ledger Delivery Team was in East Gadsden, yesterday, Friday, March 4, about 12:20 p.m., Isaac Weathers was pronounced dead at the scene.
Etowah County Deputy Coroner Dantez Robinson said the victim was in his teens.
Gadsden police are following leads and looking for more after the young man was shot and killed within sight of a busy East Gadsden street.
"He was young," Capt. Bobby Jackson said, at the scene, before Weathers was identified.
Capt. Scott Entrekin was one of a large number of officers on the scene in the aftermath of the shooting. He said officers didn't know much yet, but were following up on what leads they had and seeking more.
