GEORGIA- The Georgia Department of Corrections will be having a hiring event on Wednesday, August 17th from 9 am until 3 pm ET at the Hays Recruiting Building at 777 Underwood Drive in Trion.

Employment Qualifiers for Correctional Officer positions are listed below: we ask that you bring these items with you to our office
Proof of US Citizenship (Driver’s license, Social Security Card, or Passport)
High School Diploma from an accredited high school or GED
If you have a college degree (Associate, Bachelor's, or Masters)
Be at least 21 years old
Able to successfully pass the pre-employment process which includes a physical fitness test, drug test, background investigation, oral interview, and an Integrity test evaluation
Must be able to meet requirements for certification as a peace officer by Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T)
A minimum vision of 20/40 either corrected or uncorrected in each eye
