The 68th Annual DeKalb County, Alabama V.F.W. Fair opens today and runs through this Saturday, October 1st. The fair is returning full force this year after two years of being hampered by Covid-19 restrictions.
President and Fair Manager Charles Stephens says the theme for this year’s fair is “Land That I Love” and will see a return of educational booths and the popular scarecrow competition. Stephens says that booths and scarecrow competition is a great way to motivate and reward student’s efforts
The DeKalb County V.F.W. Agricultural Fair is slated for Sept. 26 through Oct. 1, with the 2022 theme, “Land That I Love.”
Gates open at 5 PM tonight (Central Time) with free admission and rides between 5-6 PM sponsored by Twin City Used Cars. Regular gate admission is $4 and children under 6 are free.
There will be livestock shows daily and Circus Incredible will be presenting two aerial artistry shows each evening.
