CENTRE - Centre Police Department investigator makes arrest off of an ICAC cyber tip.

Chief Inv. Randy Mayorga received an ICAC cyber tip about suspected obscene material involving minors being transmitted by someone in Centre, Ala.

The cyber tip was followed and led to a male identified as Ian Alexander Ulrich, 23 of Centre, being a person of interest. Evidence, in this case, was obtained by Chief Inv. Randy Mayorga and then presented the case investigation to the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office where warrants were approved.

Ian Alexander Ulrich was arrested and charged with eight counts of disseminating or public display of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts COA 13A-012-191.
